Synopsis The Volvo Ocean Race is often described as the longest and toughest professional sporting event in the world. It's sailing's toughest team challenge and, along with the Olympics and The America's Cup, is one of the sport's Big Three events. The 2015-16 edition took the teams around the world in 9 legs, over 39,000 nautical miles, across four oceans, touching six continents and to 11 landmark Host Cities. In a team of 8 members, this year, the rules were modified so that each crew had to have two sailors under 30 years old. For Team Brunel those men were Louis Balcaen and Rokas Milevicius. In this life changing adventure we follow Louis and Rokas through their preparations, through the race to the finish, we see the transition of responsibility, from youth to manhood. It's a rollercoaster upon which they have to deal with all possible emotions. We see moments of victory set against moments of defeat, heavy powerful sailing versus frustrating days without any wind at all. We see men performing at their peak, and then struggling to fight through the doldrums of hunger and exhaustion. In this 1 hour documentary we follow these two men around the world, in a life changing experience which will bond them forever.
